ABOUT WARREN B. HARDY II

Principal Consultant, Warren Hardy Strategies

Warren B Hardy II is principal consultant with The Warren Hardy Strategies, LLC. Drawing on over 30 years of front-line experience at all levels of government, Warren’s professional experience makes him uniquely qualified as a government affairs consultant. Warren was elected in November of 2002 at the age of 39, as the youngest member of the 2003 Nevada Senate.  This is a distinction he also held when he served as the youngest member of the 1991 Nevada State Assembly.

During his first term as a senator, Warren served as a member of the Government Affairs and Transportation committees and had the distinct yet unusual honor of serving, as a freshman, as vice-chairman of the Commerce and Labor Committee. At the conclusion of the 2003 session of the legislature, the Las Vegas Review Journal recognized Warren as the “Outstanding Freshman Senator”.

During his second session in the Senate Warren was appointed to serve as Chairman of the powerful Senate Committee on Government Affairs. He also continued his service as Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor. At the conclusion of the 2005 session, Warren was recognized in a poll conducted by the Las Vegas Review Journal as one of the states most effective senators and by a Ralston Report poll as one of the session’s most effective committee chairmen. In addition to his role as committee chairman, Warren served as a member of various policy committees, including Education, Transportation, Legislative Operations and Finance.

While serving as a member of the Senate, Warren worked as President of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Las Vegas (ABC), a construction trade association dedicated to preserving the principles of free enterprise and open and free competition. Prior to joining ABC, he was president of Warren Hardy and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in representing small business interests on governmental affairs.

Before founding Warren Hardy & Associates, Warren was Vice President of the Furman Group, an international consulting firm with offices in Las Vegas, Washington DC, San Diego and the Pacific Rim. Warren worked extensively on natural resource issues while with the Furman Group. Prior to joining the Furman Group, Warren was involved in the management of his family’s automotive business, Hardy’s Automotive Services, which opened its doors in Las Vegas in 1957.

As a consultant and as a legislator Warren has earned a solid reputation as a consensus builder who works in a bi-partisan manner to solve problems; always putting the needs of the state ahead of politics. After his many years of service in the legislature, members of both houses and both parties recognize and respect Warren’s non-partisan approach to governance.

Warren was a 1981 graduate of Rancho High School in North Las Vegas, a 1983 Graduate of the Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix Arizona and a 1991 graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, where he earned a B.A in Political Science.

Warren has been a resident of Nevada for 50 years. He and his wife Carol have been married for 36 years. They have five children and eight grandchildren.
